The Tenda B6 5 GHz, 11 nm, 300 Mbps basestation is designed for PtP and PtMP solutions for rural wireless connectivity and CCTV surveillance. Two RP-SMAs enable it to pair with dish antennas or sector antennas to establish PtP backhaul connections and P2MP links. It adopts Tenda's TDMA (Time Division Multiple Access) proprietary protocol, TD-MAX, to improve performance and capacity. The auto-bridging technology makes it easy to set up for both business and home users. Pair with a dish antenna, one in AP mode and another in station mode, to create a long-distance backhaul connection. TD-MAX is a Tenda TDMA (Time Division Multiple Access) proprietary protocol to improve performance and capacity for wireless WISP outdoor application scenarios. In outdoor environments, the CPE uses highly directional antennas to connect to the base station from distances that can span several kilometers. The CPE can't sense each other; they become hidden nodes” and cannot coordinate access to the wireless channel. Thus, the base station experiences frequent collisions from stations transmitting simultaneously. As the network scales, these collisions build up exponentially, increasing latency and lowering throughput. With TD-MAX, it coordinates all the data transmission and allocates time to active clients to provide greater noise immunity performance when compared to the conventional 802.11 CSMA/CA (Carrier Sense Multiple Access/Collision Avoidance) protocol. B6 applies special optimization in software for register parameters to deliver a 10/20, 30/40 MHz channel bandwidth option. It provides extra 10 MHz and 30 MHz channel bandwidth options to be consumed according to application scenarios. When you choose the 30 MHz channel bandwidth option, it can increase throughput in noisy environments. When you choose the 10 MHz channel bandwidth option, it can increase the number of available, non-overlapping channels, so networks can scale better. B6 provides a channel shift feature to offset the central frequency of 5 MHz. It can avoid interference from nearby APs and deliver higher throughput. B6 is equipped with centralized management software that helps users easily manage all the devices in their network from a single PC: CPE Assistant. Functions like device discovery, status monitoring, firmware upgrading, and network maintenance can be managed using CPE Assistant. The Tenda B6 5GHz 11n 300Mbps Basestation has a 1-year Warranty.
